SOLUTIONS TO IMPROVE ARIZONA FAMILIES

Prioritizing the needs of your child is best accomplished outside of Family Court. In cases where the Court has already issued orders, it's not uncommon for disputes to arise afterwards. Returning to court is neither cost-effective, nor timely.
Our services include acting as a neutral to assist families with initial parenting plans and/or modifying existing parenting plans. We can also act as a Court Appointed Advisor (CAA) or a Case Management Supervisor (under Rule 81) providing supervised visitation and/or ensuring adherence to court orders.
We also offer Family Court strategy consultations to tailor a plan to avoid, or end, Court involvement. AZAS offers a REASONABLE and AFFORDABLE path to resolution. We believe families should preserve resources (financial, physical and emotional) for themselves and for their children.
AZ Advocacy Summit, a division of APM, is Arizona's premiere legislative advisory group working towards Family Court reform. There is a nationwide Family Court crisis compelling many to advocate for change. Arizona is a leader in these efforts with bipartisan support of improving Family Court processes that prioritize the best interest of the child.
During the 2025 Legislative session, AZ Advocacy Summit introduced three Bills with big impact on AZ Family Court: (1) HB2255 (qualifying experts and stipulating court-ordered experts be paid by the Court), (2) HB2256 (prohibiting terminology not scientifically-supported) and (3) HB2296 (revision of Child's Best Interests standards and stipulating that temporary orders must include CBI criteria).
All three Bills have passed the AZ House and are currently in the AZ Senate.
AZAS has been navigating Arizona's Family Court during a marked shift away from prioritizing children and families. Our founders hold a Master's in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine Law, a J.D. from Purdue University and 20+ years working in conflict resolution and litigation strategy.
We collaborate with Family Court judges, mental health providers, visitation supervisors, and family law attorneys - all committed to the belief that families achieve the best resolution outside of the court system.
